A Few Words from Captain Rob Ward

Hello! It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the USS LYNX Star Trek fan club. We are a fan society of friends who have come together to have fun, exchange ideas, plan charitable and environmental projects and share in the visions of the future portrayed throughout science fiction.

Our club motto is "Live for today. Dream of the future." This simple statement represents our purpose and emphasizes our belief that the future, as shown in Star Trek, will only happen if we all work to make positive changes in today's world.

We are one of the oldest clubs around -- this is our 17th year of operation. While the USS LYNX is based in Virginia, we welcome fans from any locale to join our family.

I hope that you will choose to learn more about the USS LYNX by visiting the rest of our website and our message board. We would be very happy to welcome you aboard as a part of our club. Just let us know that you're interested!

Peace and prosperity,

Capt. Rob Ward
Commanding Officer and Club President
USS LYNX NCC-1608

USS Lynx Mission Statement
The U.S.S. Lynx exists for the benefit and enjoyment of its members. To us, Star Trek offers a vision of hope, prosperity, and peace that transcends mere entertainment and provides an aspiration for our lives. We are a Star Trek club but strive to be much more.

Our club provides opportunities for formal and informal social interaction on both a local and regional level. It also serves as a forum for individuals who are interested in science and science fiction. Members recognize the mutual importance of science fiction and science fact, since each promotes an interest in the other.

We believe our obligation is to advance the well-being of our planet and its inhabitants. Through charitable and community-based projects, we engage in activities where we can share our talents, resources, and abilities with others. We also dedicate ourselves to working with other Star Trek clubs and science fiction organizations for the benefit of everyone involved.
